2006
We've been caring for our Ottawa clientele since 2006. Active acne needs a plan, not a single product — and the right plan depends on your specific skin.
Your licensed medical aesthetician evaluates your acne type, severity, and skin history before recommending a treatment. We match the approach to the problem — not the other way around.
We have HydraFacial, chemical peels, carbon laser, and LED therapy all under one roof. Your medical aesthetician can combine or adjust treatments as your skin responds.
You see the same licensed medical aesthetician every visit. She tracks your progress, adjusts your protocol, and knows your skin without pulling up a chart. That consistency is what drives results.
If an in-clinic treatment isn't what your acne needs right now, we'll tell you. Sometimes the right answer is a medical-grade home care routine first, then treatments. Your goals come first.
It depends on your acne type and severity. Mild congestion often responds well to HydraFacial extractions. Inflammatory acne may benefit from chemical peels or LED therapy. Oily, congested skin responds to carbon laser peel. Your medical aesthetician will recommend the right approach during your consultation.
Most clients see noticeable improvement within 3–4 sessions spaced 2–4 weeks apart. Stubborn or hormonal acne may require a longer series. We'll set realistic expectations during your consultation and adjust as your skin responds.
Some clients experience a brief purging phase as congestion is cleared — this is normal and temporary. Your medical aesthetician will prepare you for what to expect and adjust your protocol if needed.
HydraFacial and LED have zero downtime. Chemical peels may cause mild flaking for 2–3 days. Carbon laser peel has minimal redness for a few hours. Your medical aesthetician will recommend the right option based on your schedule and skin.
It varies by treatment type. HydraFacial starts at $250. Chemical peels start at $150. Carbon laser peel starts at $200. Series packages are available for better value over a treatment plan.
We typically address active breakouts first, then move to scar treatment once the skin has stabilised. For scarring, we offer Secret RF microneedling and collagen induction therapy. Your medical aesthetician will build a phased plan.
Yes — in-clinic treatments work best when paired with the right home care. We carry medical-grade lines including SkinCeuticals and GM Collin. Your medical aesthetician will recommend products specific to your skin type and concern.
Absolutely. Our licensed medical aestheticians are experienced with all Fitzpatrick skin types. We select treatments and settings that are safe and effective for your skin tone — including darker skin that requires extra care with certain lasers.
I've struggled with active acne for years. After just a few sessions at Dermis, my skin has improved dramatically. The team really understood my concerns.
Love this clinic! A few years back I struggled with acne and got the carbon laser peel. It truly transformed my skin. Can't recommend them enough.
Professional, knowledgeable, honest and friendly staff. The tools they use work well and the place is very clean. They always explain the process clearly.
